Introducing the 2023 Semillon - a true gem from the Watervale region, handcrafted with precision this vineyard is just 2KM from our estate. Our expert viticulturist nurtured this dry grown block to perfection, allowing only the delicate and bright fruit to flourish in a year of abundant rainfall. With 28 years of wisdom from the vines, the grapes were meticulously handpicked in late March, and treated with the same care as our award-winning Rieslings. Whole clusters straight to the press ensured the purest juice without any oxidation.
The bouquet reveals ripe pineapple, tantalizing tropical fruit salad, and a hint of candied banana set the scene for the exceptional sensory experience that awaits. The palate bursts with refreshing Fuji Apple and sweet Pineapple, with a tight and firm acid profile that stimulates the senses with every sip.
This Semillon truly delights, with vibrant varietal expression making it the perfect partner for oily fish, roast chicken, or succulent duck. For those who appreciate ageing wine, allow 8-10 years to reach an ideal drinking state. Just 110 dozen produced - a rarity and one to be savored.
